Here we go with the basic post intro…. I have a new favorite! It’s been a little while since I posted about a movie/TV show, and so here we go!
My topic for today is a romance filled, dramatic, interesting, never-boring 19th century TV show called Lark Rise to Candleford, based off the non-fiction book written by Flora Thompson. It’s written around a young girl named Laura Timmins, who lives peacefully with her family in a modest and very small hamlet town called Lark Rise, which is a charming and tight-knit ‘everyone knows everyone’ type of place. When Laura’s mother, a busy and caring woman named Emma, shares the news that her postmistress cousin, Dorcas Lane, has requested Laura’s help in her post office which is located in a bustling city close to Laura’s hamlet town called Candleford, Laura is nothing but terrified to start this new chapter in her peaceful life.

Watch as Laura makes new friends, enemies, and falls in love. Everyone from the two seamstress sisters next door to the constantly drunk and crazy mother of 5 that she’s known forever crosses her path, and that makes for very interesting episodes. You can find this tv show on Amazon, but they recently removed it from Prime Video, so you can look for it at your local library! I 100% recommend Lark Rise to Candleford to anyone looking for a new show to binge watch!
